Summary:
The Fair-Haired Dumbbell is a 55,000 SF mixed-use development located at the East Burnside Bridgehead in Portland. The building comprises two six-story timber-frame structures connected by bridges at each level, creating a distinct "dumbbell" shape when viewed from above. The upper five floors are dedicated to creative office space, while the ground floor features retail space. The building's exterior is adorned with a striking, hand-painted design by renowned Los Angeles artist James Jean, which was transferred to the structure by local artist Dan Cohen. Urban Resources, Inc. served as the Owner's Representative throughout the project, overseeing its completion in the summer of 2017.
