Premier Gear Office Building
LRS Architects

Summary:
Originally a single-story industrial building used for manufacturing machine gears for heavy equipment, this project involved a significant transformation, adding a second level, an elevator, an outdoor terrace, skylights, and ample windows to flood the interior with natural light. While the building now presents as a cohesive office space, it is actually composed of four separate structures, each built at different times between the 1920s and 1970s, using varying construction methods and materials. One of the project's primary challenges was integrating these distinct buildings into a unified space, addressing both aesthetic and structural concerns, including seismic upgrades. Urban Resources, Inc. (URI) served as the owner's representative throughout the construction phase.
