Summary:
Homeroom Apartments is a mixed-use development located at SE Stark and 14th Avenue in Portland's Buckman neighborhood. The site, formerly home to a 12-unit apartment building and an auto repair shop, was cleared for construction in the summer of 2017. The new four-story building features 39 residential units, including a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, with three ground-floor units offering private exterior entrances and patios. The development also includes a corner retail space, a lobby/lounge area, a bike storage and repair station, a pet wash station, 12 secured parking spots, and two electric vehicle charging stations on the ground level. The building's exterior combines brick, metal panels, and composite panel accents, with large windows to enhance the architectural appeal. Additionally, seven units have balconies and six feature Juliet balconies. Located near a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and a music venue, Homeroom Apartments offers both convenience and modern living in a vibrant neighborhood. Urban Resources, Inc. (URI) served as Owner's Representative during the preconstruction and construction phases, overseeing the project until its completion in the fall of 2018.
